PENSANDO EN PAUL CELAN
San Celan,
estirado en la cruz
de la supervivencia,
ruega por nosotros. Tú
que finalmente no pudiste
resistir más. Pero nosotros
vivimos y vivimos,
alegres en un mundo
donde los niños matan niños.
Nos sacudimos
del peso de
nuestra propia exención,
florecemos,
sobrepasamos
nuestros días asignados.
San Celan,
ruega por nosotros
por que recibamos
al menos una herida,
azul, azul, imborrable,
nosotros que aceptamos la supervivencia

THINKING ABOUT PAUL CELAN
Saint Celan,
stretched on the cross
of survival,
pray for us. You
at last could endure
no more. But we
live and live,
blithe in a world
where children kill children.
We shake off
the weight of
our own exemption,
we flourish,
we exceed
our allotted days.
Saint Celan,
pray for us
that we receive
at least a bruise,
blue, blue, unfading,
we who accept survival.
